  1. For general career info:  http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search 'physicians' or such.

Please talk with one's guidance counselor about the proper courses to take while in high school.  Looking at which colleges and medical schools is a great idea too.  Volunteer work is a an excellent suggestion as well as studying hard and having a stellar academic record due to the competitiveness of admission to medical school.  For possible volunteer opportunities:  http://www.volunteermatch.org and the local hospital or nursing home may also need volunteers.

    US colleges:  http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ

Please steer clear of those online, for-profit schools such as penn foster, university of phoenix, ITT tech, capella, strayer and others as they are merely out to 'make a profit':  http://www.capellauniversitysucks.us

http://www.ripoffreport.com and can type into search.

  2. Take all the science and math classes that are offered. And take the highest level of those classes. Accept nothing less than an A in all your classes. Study hard for the SAT. Volunteer. Do everything you possibly can to make yourself the most attractive applicant you can.
