  1. Its supposed to be around 6 months to a year....at least thats what I was told. I had Scooter done around 8 months I believe.  It calmed him a bit, but he still humps the cats whenever he gets a chance to hahaha

  2. when u go to the vet for his shots, ask the vet.

they do calm down a little bit.

  3. Your dog is still a puppy, puppies are excitable and rambunctious.  Nothing but age will calm your dog down.

HOWEVER, neutering your dog will decrease the risk of unwanted behaviors, such as mounting, aggression, and roaming.

  4. Any vet can do it.  If you need financial assistance, just google "low cost spay/neuter".  There are lots of places that will do it for a lower cost.   I did not notice my dogs calm down after, but all the sites say they do.  It is healthier though - it cuts the risk for some forms of cancer.

They are doing neutering as young as 6 weeks now, so you can go ahead and get it done.

  5. 6 months to a year is usually the ages to do this. I've never heard of neutering calming a dog dog, but when we got our lab mix spayed it calmed her down considerably.

  6. Many vets will neuter him now.  Call your vet and schedule an appointment.

  7. Most people do it between 4 and 6-months old.  6-months probably being the better choice.  Call the vets in your area and ask for an estimate.  They will print you something like an invoice that will list the cost of the neuter (based on weight of puppy), the cost of anesthesia, and pain pills.  You may find one vet that is cheaper than another, but one might offer better services and care.  Make sure you get the puppy pain pills, and make sure you know the phone numbers of your vet just in case anything goes wrong.

  8. awwww!

    i have a boxer

we fixed  it when it was about 1, 1 1/2

  9. Just call and ask the vet.  I think after about 6 months
