Getting a hamster??

Question

im going to get a hamster but i dnt know wat kind to get i want a small one like a drawf but i dnt know if thats the best kind, what kind are in stores and whats better a boy or a girl plz help

I would suggest getting a Campbell or Winter White. They are better for newer hamster owners. Girls can be aggressive, but boys can be more territorial. But i haven't really noticed that in them. Campbells and Winter Whites are often mixed up because they look similar and acts similar. They are active and should have a wheel, like all hamsters, and run-about-balls. I haven't noticed a difference in between the genders, get one to match a name you pick out or what ever you wish. Another popular breed is the teddy bear hamster, and they are a long haired breed, so very nice and warm! :D
