Getting a new bird, any suggestions for names?

I just got a baby peachfaced lovebird, its not old enough to bring home yet but I get to go and feed it and play with it as much as I want until it's grown enough.

So I'm looking for suggestions for good names, preferably unisex.

and I don't want traditional names (such as: mango, cupid, kiwi, etc). I prefer unique names.... or something pirate-y.

  1. how about audy

  2. Korombi, Bella, Juliette, Milo, Custard, Romeo, Pearl, Wonder, Emperer, Kingdom, Patch, Rosie, Twinkle, Cooper, Flash.

  3. call it yoshi or kirby lol

  4. Homer. That's what my cockatiel's name was. Something pirate-y...Hmm...How about Pearl (as in, Black Pearl), OR Pirate!

  5. I went through the same thing as I was waiting to get my Conure. Wanted something with a bit of meaning to it.

I looked up where they were from- in your case lovebirds are from Africa (unless  its a Madagascan love bird.) Then I looked at what language the people speak. (lol good luck with that) and common names. I then looked at maps of the area (my particular bird originated in bolivia) and tried to find a place name that was suitable. Finally I settled on 'Inca' which is the name of an ancient civilisation that used to live in the area. Its original, unisex, and it suits him.

There are also some awesome names of islands in the caribbean that would make good pet name!

  6. Awww babies are so fun to name.  Well on the bird forum I am a part of their is a lovebird named Bat Man....Not unisex but it's so cute I had to throw it out there. :)  Other names:
