Getting a new conure. Which is the best?

I've previously owned a green cheek conure who died over a month ago and I've been devastated since. I am going to get a new conure at the end of the year sometime because I'm finding it hard to live without a little companion.

I was firstly intending to get a green cheek again but I've since decided to see what other conures are like first.

I would love to hear about your birds and which conures are better companions, as well as any suggestions on what conures go better together because I am still deciding whether to get 2 or 1.

- Young couple.

- Not afraid of mess or noise.

- Lifestyle is not that busy.

I have a 3yr old sun conure.  He is the best.  I let him sit on my shoulder and he likes to preen my hair.  He's great!!

I'm not so sure that 2 of this breed would be a good idea, they might bond to each other and not to you.

I have owned both a Sun Conure and Green Cheek their both great birds. The Green Cheeks are a lot quieter than the Sun Conures if your planing on getting one be prepared for the noise but their great birds along w/the Green Cheeks. I like the Green Cheek Conures the best though their really sweet birds, but you should know that since you've own one before. Maybe go to youtube.com and see some videos of the different species and research to see which you like the best. Hope this helps!

i have a sun conure who i got from a breeder and she is pretty friendly, loves cuddles and sits on my shoulder alot, but she does prefer my husband more than me lol i also have an indian ringneck that is also very tame, but personally i think any parrot is good as long as they are hand raised
