  1. If you have a wireless network set up on your current one, set one up on the new one and move the entire folder set that way. Names and files will not change.

You should back up important pictures to hard media, also.

  2. Memory stick is easiest to transfer  data. But it is always a good idea to back up your pictures to cd once a year and store it in a safe place. They both save them as they were put in. However the program you use to view them may put them in alphabetical or numerical order.

  3. folder order?

    you just drag and drop

  4. Cd would be best will most likely store more and in folder order

  5. if you organize it into folders on your old computer and put it into a cruiser or memory stick and transfer it over it would be faster and more convenient then to burn it onto a CD

  6. Both can be saved in folder order, you just have to create the folders. I prefer usb drives. Just plug them in and drag n drop. Same principle as mem stick but easier for me to keep up with.

  7. Both can save them in folder order. Personaly I used DVD's when I was backing up my computer since they hold more space.

  8. Both would work fine.

A memory stick is pretty much a portable hard drive. For a CD, you can burn them as a data disk, but you're limited by the capacity. Both have capacity issues. If you have a lot of pictures, consider getting an external hard drive. It's a little pricey, but well worth it in the long run.
