Getting a part time job?

Question

I want to get a part time job during the school year so i can have 5 classes instead of 6. What i want to know is how much should i be expecting to work? I get off school at 2 45, so will i go from school to work and not get home till 10 at night? Also, can i request when i want to work? for example: can i say i want to work monday-thursday and get friday-sunday off?
