  1. both these guys are right

but just in case (if u haven't already) get your medical test done

for eg:  colour blindness test etc.

  2. No. You can either rent a plane an FBO or you can go to a  flight school.

  3. You will rent out the aircraft from the flight school, and pay the instructor to teach you how to fly it.

Becoming a pilot is a very expensive endeaver, as a private will cost around 7,000. To become a Commerical pilot with an instrument rating it is around 45k.

Call the flight school, and ask for a "Discovery Flight". These are around 75.00 or so, and the instructor will take you up for around 30 mins or so, and afterward will answer any questions you may have regarding obtaining a pilot certifate.

  4. You can get your Pilot's Certificate at 17.  You can get your Student Pilot Certificate at 16 - you have to pass your medical exam.

If you want to find out specifics for your flight training, you can call Skyventure Aviation, Inc, at (870) 268-1900.  As I understand it, they offer flight training.  It will be under Part 61, which means you'll rent the airplane from them and pay the instructor as you go, versus a part 135 school where you pay up front for the whole amount.

I'd recommend talking to an instructor, and letting him or her fill you in on the specifics.  Good luck.
