  1. Of course you could get a University scholarship for Track or Cross-Country! You just need to train well, eat right, & keep your grades up during these next 4 years! Join your high school's track or XC team and talk to your coach about the possibility of running in college. Don't forget to keep your academic record amazing & I'm sure you can get a scholarship at your local or state university!

  2. Yes.  There are a lot of scholarships.  However, most are partial.  It is very competitive.  You'll need times of

5:00 or better for the 1600m

11:00 or better for the 3200m

Cross country is hard to compare due to the courses.  However, you need to be a top runner at the state level.  Usually, this means under 18:00 for 5k cross country.

Girls often hit a peak in 9th or 10th grade (at least with respect to improvements from growing).  After that it all depends on how well you are trained/coached and how much motivation you have.

She asked about getting a scholarship for running.  If you want a full ride you need these kind of times.  There are 100 girls in the country who run 5:00 or better.  With slower times you can get a partial. 5:35 is high school varsity and it will win a high school dual meet but it won't get a scholarship.

  3. idk what college david is looking at but thats flying for a girl  i would you would need those time to get a full ride at big division 1 school. if you can break 20 min. in a 5k, break 5:45-30, and break 20 min for a two mile consistently you should be good to go
