Getting a state id in ILLINOIS because I moved here ??

Question

What do I need to bring to the DMV? I moved to IL a few months ago and need a state ID. .

Will I get my new ID right away? And how much will it cost?

The requirements for getting an Illinois state ID card are pretty much the same as for getting a driver's license (except for passing the driving test, obviously).  You can find them here:

The fee for an ID card is $20 for most people, but it is $10 if you are under 18 and free if you are over 65.
