I'm thinking about a Koi fish design on my back from just above my lower back to just under my upper back so in the middle and not taking up the sides too much except for some possible water curving around towards my shoulder blades.
I was originally thinking about getting it somewhere on my upper arm but with it being on my back allows for me to hide it easier (I'll get to that) and for me to be more inventive with it cos it'd be going on a larger canvas. The problem is that I have a rather prominent spine (mostly around the middle cos my lower back is really good and my upper back is really toned, it's just the middle that sucks :( ). I'm a skinny lad anyway but I still pack the muscle in most places, my back included only the spine is quite exposed. This has caused it to pick up quite a few scars and such over time so a tattoo would cover that nicely and would help with my insecurity about it. I'm wondering if this will make it A LOT more painful than on someone whose spine isn't so visible?
I'm also training to get into the acting profession and I wouldn't want to be turned away from any roles on the count of being tattooed so the back works better than the arm. To be fair, that's what make up artists are paid for but I'm wondering if it'd be a real pain so if anyone has any info or opinions on that, please share!?
I went swimming yesterday and I was feelign really embarassed about my back when I was waiting in line for slides with my mates so it started to make me want the tattoo all the more to hide it and the scars and bruises don't help :( I'd just rather have a beautiful tattoo than the current mess lol
When at the gym a few times a week, I do back training in my routine but I don't really notice anything expect for in my lower back so I am still trying to gain mass on my back but i can't see it working. I'm also wondering if gaing mass will affect the tattoo much? I can't imagine it doing on my back but if you know anything about that too, it'd be a great help :D
(sorry, this was so long and turned out to be more than one question)
