  1. Not allowed.  Your immunity is lowered and you have a higher risk of infection.  I wouldn't trust a tattoo place that would tattoo a pregnant woman.

  2. No its actually against the law for them to tattoo you. My friend is a artist and he can get in some major problems if he does one. I would just wait til you have the baby. I have alot of tattoos but nothing I couldn't live without for 9 months to have a healthy baby!

  3. I was two months prego and didn't know it when I got my tattoo on my upper back! That was two years ago! I have a healthy son who will be two in Oct. But I do not recommend it because it, it is not good for the baby. Also the tattoo may fade out because your body is changing, I heard that from several people that had tattoos disappear!

  4. No reputable shop would do a tattoo on a pregnant woman period! They make you sign waivers stating that your in fact NOT pregnant prior to, theres way TOO much risk of infection!

  5. ok. i actually got a tattoo while i was pregnant on my left shoulder.they said it will lower my immunity and take longer to heal, which was true and i also had to sign a waiver so i couldn't do anything if anything happened to the baby since i knew the possibilities.. but it didnt do any harm to the baby and i have a cool tattoo.

  6. no listen to your first answer. Me and my husband own a tattoo shop, and would never allow it in our shop

  7. Don't do it! it will be selfish to your baby, I don't know how it can harm your baby but it does not look like a good Idea

  8. Getting a tattoo at any time puts you at a slight risk of developing Hepatisis C as well as other infections as the posters said.

Infection can cause birth defects, miscarriage, premature labor or fetal death.  That's why even a simple urinary tract infection is a cause of concern during pregnancy and treated immediately.

Hepatisis can pass from the mother to baby.  Hepatisis is inflammation of the liver which can lead to complications.  It isn't very common, but it's possible.

  9. It can harm the baby because physical stress can make you have preterm labor.

NO reputable artist is going to work on you while pregnant.  I'm sure you can wait for a few months to get cut.

  10. my tattoo artist wont work on a preggers girl he didnt tell me why but he made me sign a wavier and it included that i am asurring that i am not pregnant . so it probally dose do something to ur baby

  11. Getting a tattoo can increase your risk in infections. Also, a new tattoo that looks symmetrical on your pregnant skin might become lopsided or distorted after you regain your prepregnancy shape.

  12. I didn't get a tattoo while pregnant, but I do know most tattoo artists when you sign the release papers you have to check yes or no if you're pregnant - if you are most wont tattoo you.

  13. I think it's a no no.    But even if it was ok, parts of your body will stretch...even in the places you wouldn't think during that time.  So maybe it's a good idea to hold off.

  14. I got a tattoo when I was 2 months preg (didn't know it at the time). Nothing was wrong with my daughter when she was born.

  15. i want to get another tattoo... i told my girlfriend as soon as i lose the baby weight, i will get one with her. im setting it as a prize for my goal weight

  16. you shud never ever got a tattoo when pregnant as there's always the chance you can develop septicemia and that's some thing you don't need when pregnant
