  1. well, seeing as d3 schools dont give sports scholarships, your almost definitly talking about d1(as there are very few d2).

your 400 is good, but your 200 is better. the slowest d1 girls run low 26s with the winners running high23/low 24.

  2. thats great you are already thinking about scholarships but you may want to narrow your question down a little more... indoor or outdoor track? division 1, 2, or 3?

    im asuming outdoor track.......

your 200 time seems better than you 400 but you may not have as much endurance... if you train for the 200, you could narrow that time down to 20-25 seconds depending on how "out of shape" you are... which would qualify you for division 3 states (24 seconds) and could get you a scholarship...

if you train you will be a fantastic runner and heavily recruited... but you need to train because thats what coaches look for... keep training and run fast! if you do train and get your time under 25 seconds. you will get a scholarship! congrats.have fun. run happy

  3. whoever said you need to get your time down to a 20-25 is absolutely wrong. Considering the world record is 21.34 set by Florence Griffith Joyner it is highly unlikely you will need a 20 to run for any school.

Getting into a D1 school will be more difficult than getting into a D2 or D3 school. For D1 you are going to need to be running 24's in the 200, to get a scholarship. A 62 in the 400 is also pretty good but you will need to chop off at least 4 seconds to go D1 scholarship. both of those time would be good enough for D3. D2 you will need to get down to the 26-27 range for a scholarship and get down to a 60 in the 400 for a D2 scholarship. I ran for a small D2 school and I ran 61s in the 400 and upper 27s in the 200 and I got a 1/2 scholarship.

Every school has different standards though, so you will have to talk to the coaches at those schools. Keep up the good work and good luck, with some training you could definetly get a scholarship.
