Getting a wedding gig???

Im 13 and my friend is 14 and we want to start a wedding duet business with our violins. Im pretty good and he is REALLY good and I was just wondering....

Would you hire a good violin duet even if they were only teenagers???

  2. I played at wedding gigs when I was 13, but it was with older teens who were 16 to 20 years old.

    Personally, I would want a string quartet at my wedding, because two violins can only cover two parts. If you find a violist and a cellist, I'm sure you'd do much more business.

    Sure, some people would appreciate your young age because that would mean a lower fee for the music. A professional will charge around $100-$120 per hour, but since you're not professionals, you won't be charging that much. You'll want to ask your private teacher for an honest opinion of what you should be charging per hour for gigs.
