Getting an IUD Mirena...Chances of pregnancy??

I'm switching methods of birth control. I'll be getting a Mirena this week.

But are you more likely to get pregnant when you first start using Mirena? What if they insert it wrong? Changing birth controls usually have its risks too...

Will I be more likely to get pregnant, being a new user?

  1. no you are no more likely being a new user

it is effective as soon as it is inserted, and you have about the same chance of getting pregnant as you do if you have your tubes tied

  2. I thought Mirena was a blessing no more periods but it was h**l getting it out and I couldn't get pregnant for almost a year after having it removed
