Getting an iphone (Canada)?

Question

I don't have a cell phone and only a junk mp3 player. I was looking at the iphone, but it will cost me 70 bux a month including all there charges. Rogers and Fido are the only providers right now.

I was wondering if anyone knew if their would be more providers say before April., Also, will more providers lower the cost of the plans, and also less than 3 year contract?

I was also going to just get a iTouch, since Im in grade 11 and still don't really have a use for a cell, but maybe when I get my license in April. Anyone answering all my questions will get best answer.

go on ebay and buy an unlocked one  that's all you need especially for an iphone the unlocked doesn't have a contract its UNLOCKED also works with any gsm carriers aka sim cards any sim card works

everyone has a use for a phone whether your calling your friends or texting and because your in grade 11 most of your friends probably have phones get the iPHONE ultimate bragging rights :)

and the iphone is an itouch but the itoucisn'tnt a phone so your better off with the iphone  i think...
