Getting an odour from toilet joint at floor connection level. Any ideas how to fix it plse?

Replace the wax ring

  Since you have to drain tank and toilet to preform this

  get a tank gasket as well and hardware,

    (preventative maintenance)

Your wax ring for sealing the toilet to the drain has a gap. You need to pull the toilet and reform the wax gasket or better yet add a new one to the old. For a quick fix so it won't smell Grout or caulk around the toilet.

I take it that it is not leaking water!!

yes sounds like you need a new wax ring. install the new wax ring and seal with caulking
