well I'm sorry but here's another one of mine

My life is yours

Yours for the taking

Taking all I have

Have you seen me lately

Lately I’ve been crazy

Crazy for doing this

This was not how it goes

Goes away, far away

Away from civilization

Civilization and reality

Reality is a fantasy of mine

Mine flows into yours

Yours is everything I had

Had it all, lost it all

All of it is gone in the shuffle

Shuffle shuffle go my feet

Feet moving away from life

Life is over

Over for me, never for you

  1. You wrote it and don't know what it's about.

It's about stringing words together in a fashion that imitates poetry, but is not poetry.  What annoys me is not the poetry questions, or even the seemingly never end of bad poetry intermixed with good creative writing.  It is the fact that so many people have no idea what poetry is or how to achieve it.

Poetry to some is simply string pretty words together without meaning, but poetry is not about writing pretty words, it about writing words prettily.

Yours would have been infinitely better if you had given it a subject and stuck to it.

  2. so i really like it. and that last guy was a fckin idiot.

it does go together really well, and it follows one path and whatever else blah blah you know?

god you don't have to know what you're writing about as long as it comes from your heart.

    SHEESH!

  3. i like it. is it about like a break up, and you still like the other person. You gave him ur all, and then you lost it?

  4. Intrigued and impressed with this piece. The complexity

appears in the doubling of words from end of one line

to the beginning of the next.

Is there a formal name given to this poetic devise?  Not listed in any poetic devises dictionary I have searched. Very  interesting structurally.

And with each line—sentence—the poem moves forward. Very good work.

  5. snapps to you
