Question:

Getting behind in my school work; how to keep on track?

I've had this problem since I could remember, now I'm in Grade 12 and I'm getting behind in my school work once again. I'm doing homeschooling so I tend to get off track a lot quicker then if I was at a school building, however homeschooling is something I have to do now for other reasons. I'm working part time doing warehouse work at graveyard hours so I'm sleeping a lot in the day. My other problem is I tend to get side track and start playing computer games instead of working. How can I keep on track before it's too late? I know the simple answer is to just do the work, but it's much harder then that to get me doing school work everyday on a regular bases. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  1. You must focus. I know it so hard when you work 3rd shift, but you must try. You don't  have far to go now. Find you an accountability partner someone who will call and check on you two to three times a day and just ask how's it going and if you have finished you work yet.  Also you could try a timer, set the timer for about 30-60 min. do school work during that time then give yourself a 15 min break or add your 15 min. breaks together for a longer rec. time.
