2 nights ago i went to bed with plugged ears and a bit of a sore throat. I woke up very dizzy and with the yucky feeling of a cold. but not that bad congestion. When i got home from work, i had a fever of 103.i slept all night and drank lots of water. i went to the doctor today, he said i have a viral throat infection, and told me not to take any medication for the fever, cause it will help me fight it. He said I'm not very contagious, but i shouldn't cough on or kiss any of my friends. lol.

of course i know to drink lots of water, and get my rest. what else should i do / not do to get better fast,

because my birthday party is tomorrow night, no, it CANT be moved, no, i cant cancel it, no, I'm not going to stay in bed for my party, so please dont suggest that

  1. drink a huge cup of hot green tea with lemon juice in it and put some honey into it because the honey coats your throat. eat peanut butter because that also coats your throat. ummm drink gatorade cause it hydrates faster then water, but keep up the water thing. warm/hot milk also helps a throat alot! peppermints also help soothe nasal passages and cool and soothe the throat. stay in bed get more sleep. relax. keep a warm rag on your head (or cool) to cool your temperature down. i am sick too right now and i have been doing all of this and i am like almost completely better.
