Getting car that is titled/registered in Canada titled/registered in NY?

I might buy a car that is titled/registered in Canada and was wondering if anyone knows what it takes/is it difficult to get it registered in New York State

If it has a title and meets EPA standards for your state, there should be no problem, DMV will probably want to verify the vehicle vin.
