Getting contacts for first time help?

i just got an eye exam today and the op said i need glasses a little bit. ive never had to wear glasses before so i was thinking about just getting contacts. do i need to wear glasses for a certain amount of time or what?? also do i need to to get ANOTHER eye exam but this time a contact exam or something? idk thats what i heard.

its better to have both.

just in case you run out of contacts, or they are bothering you in the morning so you cant wear them for school/work, your running late and dont have time to put them on.....etc.

they are a good backup

some people cant watch tv with contact or use a computer because it irritates the eyes too much, like me.

so i use my glasses when i do things like that

If you want to wear contacts, you have to have a contact fitting exam to learn what size of contacts you nees. It is difficult to wear at first, but if you stick with it you won't even know they are there anymore. No, you don't need to wear glasses, but you probably will want to have a pair around. There may be times when you can't wear your contacts due to allegies or infections (eye and body infections), or at bedtime.
