and i was thinking that a lot of actresses are getting started out young, like my age (i'm 14) or younger, like AnnaSophia Robb and Abigail Breslin, and those other people, yahhknow.

i live in Portland, OR, so how do i get discovered?? besides calling in to one of those audition things you hear on the radio all the time?!?!?

  2. Definitely I agree that you should get an agent.  I also think it's important to realize that there are millions of people your age who are just as in love with acting as you are.  There is one thing  in your question that concerns me though.

Acting for the love of the art and acting to get discovered are two very different things.  If you love performing as much as you say you do then there are plenty of ways to get out there and do it.  But if your looking only to be "discovered" and get famous, you're out to be disappointed.

Being an actor or actress isn't about the glory. Its about hard work and loving your art.  If that's what you're willing to do, then that is fantastic. Get yourself an agent, go to those "audition things" and get going!!

But if your looking to make it big after one audition, save yourself the trouble and heartache and find somewhere else to use your talent.

  3. i agree with everyone else, if you love it as much as you say you do then your time will come, im lookin in to getting an agent and look for auditions too. just wait and search on googl for auditions

  4. You should try www.actinginfo.blogspot.com!

  5. Sorry to say but most actresses are starting even younger i wish i was seven again! Then i might actually have a chance of getting on DC

  6. look for open call auditions in your area--it also wouldn't hurt to try and get picked up by an agent in your area.  then the agent will do all of your boring paper work and you can focus on auditioning!
