Getting divorce due to cheating husband?

Question

i want to divorce my husband because his been seeing other women.He has no respect for me anymore.we have a son together who was born in US.My husband will fight for our son.I have a green card IR1 category.since our marriage is going to be terminated do i have to return to my country.What should i do.i am torn apart.I don't want to run away with my kid and get arrested.what should i do.please help me anyone.

See an attorney.. most of us have no idea about categories, and this country's laws, nor the laws of your country,,,,, where ever that even is.

I would speak with a lawyer, since your son was born in the U.S. and is z citizen it is unlikely they will kick you out. I would apply for citizenship and ask them the process for staying if you divorce your husband.

Talk to a lawyer-first call the better business bureaus and see who is listed (bad) to screen out the bad ones.  Then call the office of others, and set up  a free consultation.  You don't need to worry about the citizenship-that's no problems.  You do need to latch on to anything you have to prove the affairs.  That documentation will really affect the custody battle for your son in your favor.  Good Luck and look up some singles groups .  They can help you locate resources to make this transition much easier; emotionally and financially.

Get in touch with your embassy as soon as possible. and find out what rights you have regarding your divorce. They may be the best resource available to you. Good luck.
