Getting free stuff when you join the military

what things do you get when you join,i heard that you get a laptop to keep in contact

You don't get anything free.

You pay for your uniforms also.

Of course, when you enlist, they give you a $1,500 uniform allowance.

And that just happens to be the cost of your uniforms you are issued.

Free stuff? Well at the recruiter's office I got a free blue back pack, some pencils, a frisbee, and a tee shirt. (Oooooh Ahhhhhh).

At basic training I got my "free" uniforms, "free" food, and a "free" personal trainer...lol.

Now that I am in the military I get free food/utility bills (BAS), free rent/housing (BAH), free medical, free dental, and free education (Tuition Assistance).

No lap top!

You only get a laptop from the army if you enroll in eArmyU and have three years left when you do it.  If you fail your classes you have to pay for the computer.

You dont get a free laptop, but when i joined i got a free t-shirt and a army bookbag.  U will get free uniforms, and a free physicle trainer in ur face.

Who cares about "free stuff"? You get serve your country and get paid for it.

You'll get uniforms and basic field equipment... That's about it...

No computers or cameras, I think only clothes and some other stuff like water jars and containers and so on.
