Getting from Birmingham airport to Wolverhampton?

Hiya!

I am trying to book a break away....were going to the grand slam of darts in november- that is on in Wolverhampton and im just wondering how far away from Birmingham is Wolverhampton(in a taxi)? I can fly from my local airport (5 mins away) direct to Birmingham! or what is the best airport to fly into ?

also if you can recomend the best place to stay for the weekend(shopping and nightlife-wise)

Direct train from Birmingham Airport to Wolverhampton every 20 mins or so.

Plenty to do in Birmingham, not so sure about Wolverhampton.  Plenty of hotels in Birmingham, depends on your budget.

its about 17 miles away, birmingham to w'ton

i cant believe you would go to either through choice

no matter where you are from it will be a culture shock,

i lived there for 4 years and never got used to it

i moved because it was such a depressing violent place to live

i cannot help you on accomodation or shopping as its been a few years since i left, but neither are famed for their shopping or glamorous nightlife, sorry
