Getting from Luton to Heathrow?

On Friday I have to fly to London and transfer to Heathrow for a Saturday morning flight. I have pleanty of time as I arrive in London at 12 15 pm and my flight doesn't leave until the next morning.

I'm wondering what is the easiest way to get from one to the other (and cheapest would be nice as well). I am going to have difficulty either way because i have 3 large suitcases with me, so if theres any way that could be made easier as well that would be perfect. I dont want to take the underground as it will be crowded and too much of a pain and taxis are too expensive. is there a bus or train or something that I could take instead?

I need to get to the comfort hotel at the Heathrow airport.

  1. National Express apparently have services linking the airports so you could travel with them:

If you were to travel by train, you could take the Luton Express to St Pancras where you could change to the Underground at King's Cross Station and take to the Piccadilly Line to Heathrow.

  2. Hi - I live about 15 mins from Luton Airport & must agree that the best way for you will be by taking a coach from Luton to your destination of Heathrow.

Coaches as far as I am aware run every 1 hour from 4am - about 11pm - so boarding one should not be a problem. 2 companies run this trip - National Express & Jet Link.

The coach makes 2 stops before it gets to Heathrow & your journey time will be approximately 50 - 60 minutes.

Your can buy a return ticket that is valid for 3 months & should cost approximately £20.00
