Getting honked at for following rules?

Hello. Currently the expressway near my home their is major construction going on so the speed limits been changed to 70km (43 miles) I still want to obey the traffic laws but go with the flow of traffic so I go around 5-10 over keep with the flow. Today as I was driving I got flipped off an honked at because the way I was driving some other cars were still going 100km (62 mile) which is against the law with the heavy construction in the area. Was I justified in getting honked/flipped off even though many drivers still drive normal speed limit 100km??

I was in the right hand lane but then it changed into one lane and I kept the flow of traffic but I could see some cars (the fast ones) getting really angry behind me.

  1. would u rather be safe and have cars be mad at you or do what the cars want u to do and be dead? i mean, just follow the rules, and don't worry about other cars honking at u. safety comes first

  2. Those other drivers were really being very stupid. First they honk at you simply because they feel inconvenienced that they have to slow down. And also, they were speeding through a construction zone which is especially stupid and reckless. There was no excuse for them to be honking at you when you were simply doing it right.

  3. s***w them! You are being a responsible driver.I work in the construction industry, on the highway, and nothing worries me more than some idiot who should have gotten started earlier, driving like an *** besause they're late! To those people: GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! It's under construction and it will be that way until it's finished!

You're doing the right thing. Continue.

  4. if it was one lane where were they going to go. I wouldn't worry about it.<

  5. You were definitely correct as long as you weren't in the passing/fast lane.  The honking drivers were being jerks.

  6. fines double in work zones double the $$ and points. flip them off back!! if you get pulled over you are at fault and you take the heat not them. keep up the safe driving

  7. You did nothing wrong at all, you are one of the few one the road that understands the rules of the road....
