  1. Do some sit ups and/or push ups for core and arm strength.

  2. do your exercises or warm-ups everyday(like jogging for 1 or 2 km....biking.....)

  3. Try running or biking to get your cardio into shape.  Five days isn't much time but anything will help.

  4. hey what school are u g2 cause mine starts on monday too and i go to southwest miami high. well go to a public pool and swim a few thousand yards. you can run  and do some dryland. here are some examples. if u cant do this then u can cut it back a few yards or something.

  5. Have you tried this workout video?  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezr...

  6. get your cardio into shape, you can build muscles during practice, go for a run or bike, focus on stamina, so run long distance without stopping, you don't have to go face, just get your heart pumping

  7. The most important thing in sports is not strength, but stamina.

So since you havent been swimming for a long time, you should practice and train your stamina.

5 days isn't enough to train your muscles, etc, but definitely, 5 days is more than enough to allow you to be used to the pool.

If I were you, I would focus more on my stamina, then my strokes.

The most important that keeps you in the water is not your strokes, but your stamina to hold your breath.

Most people would not be able to hold their breath for a long time. So since you are going to practice in a swim team, hope this would help! :X

And good luck on moving to your new school!
