I am trilingual, english, chinese, and spanish

haven't taken the sat's yet but am preparing for it

i play on the varsity team lacrosse and am the captain

i really want to play in college

I'm playing to raise my GPA this year and get more involved in school and do more community service. So far how am i doing and is it good enough?

I plan to write to my congress or mayor for recommendation would that help?

What do they look for? How can i raise my chances?

  1. rofl good luck idiot

    you won't have a chance

1st off u didn't mention any community service hours

2nd your gpa sucks. u need 4.0 or above

3rd you didn't even take the PSAT or SAT and you're a junior

    Your chances? None

    good lucky buddy

  2. Don't pay any attention to that other guy. He is a moron.

OK, things you have going for you are your diversity, your west coast location, your lacrosse and band. Things against you are your GPA which is in the range but on the low side, and your community service up til now.

A lot will depend on your SAT and your marks for Junior year and fall of Senior year. If you are taking tough courses (like all the APs you can get) and do well, then your application will be way strengthened. If you slack off, then you will be dead meat.

A lot will depend on your recommendations from teachers, the reputation of your high school (any other kids that got into Georgetown and either did well or poorly from your school?) and your essay.

Think positive and go for it!!

    Good luck.
