Question:

Getting info using a VIN?

My boyfriend has to go to court to stop Chrysler from garnishing his wages. He bought a truck a few years back for $26,000 but couldn't afford the payments so he turned it back in. Chrysler was supposed to sell the truck and my boyfriend would pay the difference between what he originally paid and what the new buyer paid so chrysler doesn't lose any money on the sale. Chrysler is trying to garnish him the full $26,000. I told him to get the VIN and maybe he can use that to find out how much chrysler sold the vehicle for but where would he go to find out that information? The court date is mid august so he doesn't have a ton of time. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  1. His lawer should have all this documentation before the court date, and he should also know that he is responsible for the repo fees.
