I'm a single father. I work but most of my money either goes to my daughter or bills. I don't really have the money to join some fancy gym so I can box, i probably don't even have enough to join a crappy gym, but i've got the talent to become really awesome. what should i do?

  1. He has a good point and all but, you should just try and work out at your house.save up for a boxing bag about 50-60 lb and maybe a few other things you can use for boxing.

  2. workout at home. oh yea, you can find some great guides below. Buy a heavybag that's about the same weight as you and hang it from the ceiling so it can swing freely 360 degrees.

  3. find a reputable boxing gym, go there and speak privately with the trainer and you and he can work out your financial situation. Some gyms will let you train there in return for some service. maybe its cleaning up the gym or if you have some skill like in carpentry you could build them something or whatever you have to offer. You will never know unless you get out there and talk to the gym owners and trainers

  4. Get a better job so you make batter money.

  5. Look man I feel for you with your kid & all but don't worry about paying dues, a lot of gyms don't charge. So check some out & see what gyms you can go to, call the police department which usually has a gym program somewhere that they sponsor called PAL programs which stands for Police Athletic League. Most of these are for kids under 18 but the trainers that run these gyms are usually kats who grew up in the neighborhood & are willing to help someone out. You won't know until you try, this is the greatest sport in the world! Good Luck with it & your girl..
