Getting involved with the community?

Im 15 and i wish to get involved with my community and help out in anyway i can. Any ideas?

A good place to start is the phone book. The Beginning usually has a section on volunteer organizations. Or if you are still in school you can ask a guidance counselor. Elks is a club where you can help preform community service. www.elks.org

Picking up trash, helping elderly neighbors, volunteering at a library, animal shelter, or nursing home. Those are all things that you could do to help in your community.  My suggestion would be going to a nursing home as often as possible. You'd be surprised how happy you can make someone just by sitting and listening to their stories for a while....and you may just get something out of it yourself!
