Getting job in world bank?

Could anyone please tell me what experience one should have to join world bank as an economist?

  1. A PhD from the London School of Economics would go a long way towards opening doors.


  2. It's going to be extremely difficult. The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund's economist jobs are held for the best in the world. So a doctorate degree and a ton of experience in some international organization is going to be needed. Although the IMF is easier than the World Bank since the IMF has more employees and has entry-level jobs. Nevertheless, get some experience with an NGO in an economic dept.
