Getting life insurance and im a smoker..?

Question

the last time i picked up a cigarette was last week on wednesday.. and im getting the life insurance this week and also doing a urinary test to see if i am a smoker. now i really want someone who knows what they are talking about to answer this question. not someone who says "don't lie tell the truth". will the urinary test come out clean in a about a week and a half length of time? i also would like anyone with personal experience of going through a similar situation to answer. thanks

its takes about 6 months for you system to be clean. if im correct

I have no specific data on this, but suspect that you may have to wait to show up as clean.  But congratulations on quitting, and stick with it.  (Your insurance bill will be down by about half.)

They test if your a smoker now.... sounds like n**i stuff to me, I suggest switching providers.

The presence of nicotine in the body can be seen through the detection of cotinine, the major metabolite of nicotine in human urine and blood and can be detected 7-21 days depending on usage.

For urine testing though they usually say about 3-7 days.

they may take a hair sample and test it for drugs, the nicotine will show up there
