  1. im actually in the same situation..i was suppose to get it a year ago but havent went yet.. and everyone keeps telling me to make sure i practice parking..so practice that. and also be sure you no how to put the car in reverse and back into a parking spot.hope this helpss!

  2. practice, practice and practice.

practice parallel parking (left and right side), signal lights (when parallel parking, turning, backing), backing, reading signs on the road.

know which agency you will get your license. every agency has its route where they will lead the applicants for a drivers license. know that route, you may ask people you know that they got there license in that agency, practice driving in that route. be aware of all the road signs.

lastly, practice until you are comfortable doing all the above.

  3. make sure you have read up on the rules of the road! you can take practice driving tests on your state's dmv website. you can go to www.dmv.org to find your state's dmv website. when you're taking your test, adjust your seat/mirror when you get in the car, make sure you don't go over the speed limit, STOP if the light you come to is yellow (because they can fail you if you go through it and it turns red... trust me, it happened to me), make sure you can back into spaces, use your blinker when you turn... those are the major things that pop into my head right now. just make sure you do everything by the book,   don't rush and you'll be fine. good luck!

  4. Start a week before, and just keep practicing and putting a lot of time in.  When your taking the test don't be too nervous, because that's when you start making mistakes. Just think of it as regular driving (which is what it is), and think of everything you practiced over the last week.

To practice, just have your parent with you to help you give you tips, which really helped me when I got my license. Remember the main things when driving: follow traffic signs, be alert and watching straight ahead and peripheral, both hands on the wheel (usually 10-2 position), and obey all traffic laws that were given during your driver's ed course. Go over all of the driving rules you learned in class, just keep putting in a lot of driving time over the next week, and you'll do fine and pass. Good Luck.

  5. Maybe, you should put it off and wait. Pratice driving and parking is the only way to pass! And, study the written part also. Pratice makes perfect!
