We live in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. We are getting married next summer and are having a HARD time finding a church to get married in. We do not attend church regularly, but do go for holidays. He is Baptist and I am Buddist. It does not matter to me what church we get married in or even a church, but I know he wants to get married in one.

Please HELP.

  1. My daughter and son-in-law exchanged vows outdoors at a overlook adjacent to the MacDonald Hotel last October. It was beautiful with the river in the background. Not traditional, but very nice. http://flickr.com/photos/toasters/150116...

  2. Could I suggest a nondenominational church as it may serve both of you.

Marketplace Chapel in West Edmonton Mall has had more than 700 such weddings in their chapel. You can read about it at the following website. It includes a link to their Weddings. Please check it out as I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with this cozy chapel.

You can always have the option of having a minister perform the ceremony at your place of choice like your reception hall or out doors in one of the parks.

You can also marry at city hall in a civil ceremony.

If I happen to think of any others I will be happy to post them for you.

    Congratulations and Good Luck
