  1. There was a wedding that my bestfriend went too a day before Ramadan!

  2. as has already been stated its probably better to just do the nikah and have the rest later. no doubt youll collect extra thawab for completing half of your religion during the month of ramadan, but like other people have said, who has the energy for a celebration you cant eat etc etc and not to mention the whole newlyweds thing u dont wanna "accidently" break ur fast

  3. to be honest it's great to get nikkah done but actually getting married i'd reccomend doing it after eid al fitr in the month of shawwal.. i don't really think anyone has the time for all that partying and arrangments and everything... i'm from pakistan where weddings last for days... you can but it's not a good idea but you can get your nikkah done during this holy month

    ramadan mubarack

  4. Makes no difference if you're not muslim

  5. I dont think its agood idea getting married in Ramadan or even just before ramadan because it would be so difficult for the couple to have to control yourself in the month of Ramadan.

  6. I don't think people would get married in Ramadan as it would be very difficult to arrange it, also inviting guests...who would want to come to a wedding where u cant eat lol!

And as for the couple, it'd be hard on them getting married during Ramadan, cus u are restricted certain things that a newly married couple would want to indulge in (sorry cant think of another way to say it) :P

  7. salam alikom

    congratulation

yes u may ! but wife will have some problems - blood of verginity - and she wont knows if she must fast or no ; plus she wont have energy in ramadan days - anywyas  nobody like to marry in ramadan it will let woman tired and u wont have 100% concentration to use the blessing days to ask allah forgiveness

anywyas the best time to marry is the first shawal meas EID and nikah in second shawal  , or u can marry in ramadan and have - sexual relation-  after ramadan insha alalh

u will have2 happy event eid and marriage insha allah

  8. It's quite rare and I think it may be harder to arrange a wedding for Ramadhan but there must be great blessings to offer the reception dinner as iftar for guests who are fasting.

    Wasalam.

  9. I guess it would be harder. As newly married couples are usually at it like rabbits, and you can't be in Ramadan - as there are restrictions.

  10. Nikah is Mubahat - permissible during Ramadhan.

Obviously there is great and wonderful barkaat (blessings) in simplicity of a simple Nikah (not a wedding of show)!

A simple Nikah in Ramadhan certainly saves one from numerous difficulties, frivolous spending and squandering!

  11. Not Married

Never heard of Ramadan wedding either......

  12. OMG p**i Chap. You just made me laugh!

I'm not married, nor will I be for at least a few years.

It'd save on the food bills!!!!!

    There'd be more piety

You wouldn't be able to engage in physical relationships much.

  13. I've never heard of a Ramadan wedding either, but hey, whatever works for you.

Would've been too hard for me I think!

Anyway a small wedding is the way to go.  My husb and I got married with two witnesses at the mosque.  No big deal.  We had a larger 'wedding' in his home country that summer.  Neither of us had family in the U.S. so small was great for us.

I hate the idea of wasting money on weddings!

  14. save money on food anyway at the wedding..
