ok, so i meet a Korean girl about 3 years ago who is here on a student visa. we become great friends and soon after start seeing each other more serious.well she goes back to korea at the end of her visa and we keep in touch. she came over a few times after that just to see me during her breaks in school and then she talked me into joining her in Australia for her last year of school. so i get a work holiday visa from AUS and we move in with each other and have been living together now for almost a year. my question is this...., we are thinking about getting married before our time is up here in AUS and i want to know if we are married here, would it be valid in the States? Would it slow down or speed up the process of her being to come and stay for good? should we just try and wait and apply for a K-1 visa when i get back to the states?

  1. K-1 is Fiance Visa.

Once you are married you can petition either K-3 or CR1/IR1 Visas.
