  1. Beach weddings and receptions are so much fun.  You are going to have a wonderful time.  The beaches in Hawaii are so beautiful.  What time of day are you marrying?

The picture frame signature mat is a great idea.

Maybe you could have an arch to stand under to get married, decorate it with white tulle, orchids and other beautiful Hawaiian flowers.

If your wedding is close to evening time, you could have some tiki torches lit.

Programs would also make a nice keepsake.  I have also seen beautiful small candles with a blue hue with shells in the bottom of them, very tropical.

Check out this website, it is full of great ideas.

    Best wishes to you.

  2. tell everyoen not to wear shoes! no one should. you could make little designs in the sand with sticks liek hearts and such!!!!

  3. Of course there is the inevitable lei ceremony upon entering the reception. I would contain the beach set up on each table if it were possible. Maybe have a rectangular wooden box on each of the tables filled with sand and anything else you wanted to put in them, including the starfish and sand dollars.  If you could find it, a very small palm tree, or maybe coconuts in those as well.

Strands of fresh dendrobium orchids are the easiest way to add a tropical touch to arches and alters, line the isle, decorate fences and more. They come in six foot length but they can be made longer upon request.

Orchids are very important in Hawaiian culture, so have them everywhere, including on the cake table, and even on the cake if possible.

You could also serve Hawaiian luau dishes. Find them here: http://www.alohafriendsluau.com/recipes....

Hope this all helps! And congratulations!

  4. I had a beach wedding 11-08-03; you really don't need alot of decoration for the actual ceremony. Hawaii beaches speak for themselves. Generally, destination wedding planners take care of all the details. I would let the beauty & serenity of the beach take lead. The only we did was create a aisle with shells on both sides. I love butterflies; we also released butterflies. We had our reception when we got back 3 months later. I kept it simple there too; by creating simple favors w/ shells in a mesh bag & tags. I like the guest book because it forces everyone to write legiable :)

  5. Check out the Sandals website.

I love the Preston Bailey collection. The Sea Mist Collection is BEYOND gorgeous

  6. You might like some of the ideas here:

The third picture has seashells next to name tags, how about that for a table favor? Would that be considered a table favor or just a name tag?

You could think about flowers or plants for the tables
