Okay, i'm kinda confused and i don't know what would be best. I'm 16 years old and i want to marry my 18 year old boyfriend. He's a U.S citizen and i'm illegal (yes, i know i should be ashamed but it's not my fault) But anyways, we really love each other nd want to marry him. The thing is if i should marry him here and try to apply for a green card but i don't know if they'll deport me or not since i'm a minor (what about my parents?) or should i go back to mexico and then have him apply for a fiance visa for me, come back and get marry. Any help would be really appreciated and please don't come up with c**p like, "go back to where you came from u *******" Its not my fault, i'm only a minor. ACTUAL responses would be greatly appreciated.

I really don't want to go back to mexico since i really don't got a place to stay at and don't remember it very well....plus what if my visa is denied? and i've heard that it could take like a year!

  1. Sorry, but you do need to go back to your own country before you are 18 1/2 years old and apply to come back at that time without penalty.  You cannot make someone legal from being illegal.

After 18 1/2 it will be your fault that you are illegally here and will face a ban of 10 years.

  2. actually a Fiance visa will help both you and your boyfriend, however if you get married in the US you'll have to get a letter of parental consent since you're "underage".  Once you get a fiance visa, and get married, you can get expedited citizenship, and if your parents care to do so, can obtain expedited citizenship under the family act (I forget the year).  You don't actually have to be in Mexico to apply for a Fiance Visa.  you can contact the government and have the INS change the mailing address from the billing address.

  3. k first of all to the first answer dude not all mexicans are catholics before my parents became us citizens they were lds!

k so i think that you should maybe consider going back to mexico and getting your green card cause it may take longer but then at least you wont have to be worried about getting send back and like when you have kids and other than that your wayyyy to young to get married (ya i know this is coming from me a 13 yr old but still) if you guys really love each other then youd wait and if you do get married and stay here or even if you go back stay in school cause then you'll at least have an education in case he leaves your or something(not to sound mean and not that he will leave you just pointing out the possibilities here) hope i helped

  4. You have no idea how many problems you are about to create.

I presume you are Catholic.  If you are, go talk to your priest!
