Getting mew.....?

ok i was searching the internet for how to get mew and this one thing said:Go to my party or smash the big moon stone on Firered or Leafgreen and shine a light on your Game Boy. The stone will be purple. Make a Jigglypuff or Clefairy named Mewtwo hold it. It will evolve. Have it battle a Jigglypuff or Clefairy and win. Trade the Pokemon. It will be Mewtwo in Emerald. Breed it with any Pokemon for a Mew. It will evolve into Mewtwo. does that work just wondering.....
