  1. i am getting mine ff too, on friday, i have also been through every pain of braces, i remember in the begining when they used a hammer to pt that ring around my back teeth, i asked my ortho if it would hurt and he said hardly, but sometimes the back rings are difficult to remove, so the braces wonthurt but the mola ring things will

  2. I'm happy to inform you it doesn't hurt at ALL.  You just feel a little pressure from the clamp that takes them off.  You are through the worst of it!

  3. Taking off your braces is easier and faster than you'd think. When your braces are ready to be removed, your dentist or orthodontist will clip the curve on the back of the braces with a special plier. This breaks the adhesive bond between the bracket and your tooth. While it does make a loud clipping sound, it doesn't really hurt. Below is a website which contains real stories written by people who have had their braces taken off, hopefully their insights will help you further. Good luck!

  4. Yay me too, well let me tell you I got mine off once already. Wondering why? Well I got my wisdom teeth afterward and I didn't wear my retainer long enough, so they moved (not a good idea to not wear the retainer.) Anyways, in my opinion I think taking them off was worse, the actual getting them off wasn't bad but right after they dug into my gums to clean it and they were all bleeding. But considering you went through all that I'm pretty sure it won't be as bad as you think. Plus other than my gums bleeding afterwards I was just so glad it was over. Ha ha well I'm just glad it's over tomorrow (again) finally, and now I have clear retainers cool!!! Make sure you wear them if you don't you may have to be a braceface twice like me, DO IT!!! Seriously! Congrats, and it's okay to be nervous but just be excited over everything because now you can smile and you'll love your new smile. :)

  5. i wanna say no but id be lying. yeah it hurts. the ring around ur mollars got stuck and the ortho couldnt get it out. she kept jaming into my gum and when it was finally out my mouth it started bleeding. but it probably wont happen to u. it didnt happen to any of my friends.

  6. It wont hurt, usually they just remove with special tools. The brackets in the back just snap off, its a relatively painless procedure.

If you want assurance, tell your dentist to use laughing gas on you before he removes your braces.
