  1. You need to ask the vet that question, but it won't be until after her kittens are weaned. Make sure she doesn't get out and get pregnant again before you have the chance to get her spayed.

  2. I had a cat spayed when her kittens were 3 wks old.  I bottle fed them the first day after the spaying, then mom took over.  It gave mom a chance to get over the trauma of the spaying, but didn't give her a chance to completely dry up.  She didn't seem to be uncomfortable.

BUT...........talk to your VET, and take his/her advice.  The vet should know your cat better than we do.

Sometimes, females can come BACK INTO heat BEFORE their kittens are weaned, so that's what you have to be on the alert for!

    Good luck..............

  3. you can as soon as the kittens have been weaned of her.

  4. Wait till the kittens are more grown up and are weaned then you can get her spayed.

  5. you can do her when the kittens are 2 weeks old..but feeding them will cause her discomfort, so its better to wait till the kittens are weaned, about 6 weeks old. Make sure she doesnt get out before then as she can fall pregnant straight away and thats NO good for her health

  6. My vet tells me they have to stop nursing the kittens, so once you can keep the kittens away long enough for her milk to dry up.

    edit:

Kittens NEED to stay with mom and nurse until they're 8weeks old. Otherwise they're sickly and have behavioral issues (trying to nurse on humans, blankets, etc)
