  1. It would help if you bought a planner so you can write down everything that's due on certain days.  This will help you stay organized and avoid turning in late work.

If you're having trouble understanding the material, check with your school for tutoring or mentor help.  Many times schools and teachers will offer this to students before or after school.  It may mean you give up your leisure time, the time you'd spend playing sports or video games but if it means you can get your grades up, it will be worth it in the end.  Also, make sure you communicate with the teacher.  If she/he knows you're struggling, they may offer some alternatives that you never knew were available.

Make sure you attend class everday and when you attend it, make sure you're being attentive.  Take notes, ask questions, even if the subject matter is boring as c**p, PRETEND like you're paying attention and you may find that you actually start paying attention :)  It works, trust me.  If you don't understand something, make a note of it (highlight in your notes or get some stickies to make notes on w/ questions and such) and then make sure to approach the teacher with these questions.  Make sure you read the required material for class and use resources like the librabry and internet to look up things you don't understand.  Also, make a friend in the class.  Arrange to have study times each week with one another.  This friend can help you succeed AND take notes for you in case you ever miss class :)

Dedication, hard work, prioritizing and self discipline; these things will help you succeed at anything in life, including school.  Practice these things and it will help.  When you feel like watching TV instead of reading, force yourself to read.  It's going to require you to make yourself do things you hate.  But... the pay off in the end, like I said, will be worth all of it.

    Good luck.

  2. Getting good grades really has a lot to do with making good habits. If you're not getting good grades, it's probably not going to change over night. I mean, you want ways to help to remember to do your homework, but no one can sit and remind you every day. It's just a habit you have to make. Leave yourself notes where you're sure to see them, reminding you to do your homework. When it comes to actually doing the homework, first, you have to have good notes to go off of, which means paying attention in all of your classes. No one can hold your hand through the process. If you want it as bad as you seem to, you need to pay attention in class, take thorough notes so they will help you when doing your homework. Write yourself notes so when you get home, the first thing you do is sit down and do your homework. Get it out of the way, so you know you did it, and don't have to worry about it. There's nothing anyone can really tell you. There's no secret. You just have to build good habits when it comes to studying and doing your homework.

  3. i have had good grades all my life and i just write all my hw in a planner and check it everyday...that is one that you can make sure that u do your homework and to make sure that ur homework is correct you can ask an older bro, sis, mom, dad to check it...it seems dumb but it works....um to study..i kno a lot of people that use flash cards and they like it, i write notes and study those before bed.....and sitting up front of the class really works, and don't get distracted in class, also if u don't understand something that the teacher is saying ask questions, then u can do ur homework better....well good luck...i wish u the best!
