Getting my room redone? Please help for 10 points!?

K so, i'm 13 and i'm getting my room redone like next month.

About my personality:

My life revolves around music. I would love tips on how to show that. PLEASE, PLEASE help!

I like the colors purple, pink, and orange. You know, colors like that. If you have any questions about me, ask, i'll answer, and then you can know. :]

well i love music too so what im going to do is get old records and nail them up on the wall  lol

its just a little idea but i really think its cool  lol

You might think about finding some old records and hang them on the walls to tie the colors together after everything has been painted. Bright colors with big black polka-dots, and the records would tie in the music theme.

I think you should paint music signs up like wallpaper, but just make them go along the very tops of the walls, like where wallapaper would go, and make  them in ya fav colors

try getting poster boards in your fav colors and cut out 4foot music notes and a boom box stuff like that

Have one main color wall with different colored guitars or drums painted on top of it. I know you can buy stencils or stick on paint things for the instuments..

You could do 2 different colored walls or even half the wall one color, with the other half another color. Then have the instuments a third color on top.

You could 4 walls colors and then get an awesome music related bedspread.

I just ended up with some colleges and a couple posters.

ok draw on ur walls with crayons (wright lyrics) and hang up pics from  magazines and spray paint and stuff my sister is just like you she is 16 and she did that to her walls if ur mom says it's not a good idea tell her the fact that you can always repaint the walls white or hang up white wallpaper to cover it up

Anyway...

How about you wall color purple then go to a craft store and get some funky music stencils like half notes and stuff like that a and color them pink and orange

Maybe a poster that says music=life

Fine great new sheets for your bed you can be surprised what you can find on the internet

get a cool new stereo see if you can get speakers and you can put them in the fours corners of your room even better if you have sound proof walls talk about blarrin music haha!!!

get musical note stickers that you can take off after words put them on your closet ortv things like that

Get some old records and hang them on the wall

get like some soothing music you can listen to before bed

Wat's a music room without music go get an ipod or a whole bunch of cd's you could be listening to them past midnight

why not do something with music notes? maybe that sounds stupid but i love the idea of a black wall with those colors you mentioned with a bar of music on it....maybe with your fav song composed on the bar of music on the wall...just an idea.

Make the background orange and then pain pink musical signds. and then get bedding to match.

Musics freakin awesome!! I just painted me room, the walls are like a sea blue and an orange color. They look really cool, and maybe get like guitar wallpaper to bored it or music notes or something, you could also pain music notes on the walls like do the wall blue and pain orange notes or guitars or music related items. Buy a new music themed bedspread. GO WILD! have fun with it its your room and your chance to show your personality.

I like colour too.

But its been 7 years now since my room has been painted, and I dont want to learn how to paint.

Anyway my room is now yellow and pink. Pick a natural colour that will grow with you.

Will you like your room to be bright orange in high school?

Think about it.

You can use a bed spread and cushions for colour and have posters and pictures on the wall.

Then the colours can be changes really easily and still match your personality.

Me too and i am going to paint my room white with maybe a feature wall of light pink and then paint and by all my furmiture with a white wash/ shappy chique affect!!!!!

Um, have you considered the next opportunity you'll get to re-do your room? Cause if you'll next redo it after 4 or more years, you will have developed much more as an individual.

So basically, you want to make the room versatile so that you can easily adapt it as you grow older. Otherwise you'll feel trapped in you 13 year old heaven/15 year old h**l in a couple of years.

You could try a neutral soothing colour for the walls - it works better when it comes to sleep. Also, go for a matching neutral colour for the floors (or carpet or whatever). As for your favourite colours, you could represent them in moveable objects, e.g. lampshades, paintings, duvet covers, rugs, etc. Represent your favourite colours in stuff that you can easily change if you suddenly get over the colours.

For the art, you could get several old LP records and stick them onto a chip-board. The fun part is that you can paint the background and the LP's! Steer away from posters, unless they are classic ones. Then be sure to get them framed and you can hang them up nicely (like the way basketball stars frame their jerseys)

I'm not sure what season you are in. The thing is people are influenced in their choice of furniture according to the season they are in. They tend to favour rich colours and winter and pale/pastels in summer. Also, current world trends influence decisions. Current world trends dictate what furniture you will actually find in-store.

So, before you head on out, decide on exactly which  shades/hues you want, and in which pieces of furniture. If you will get an arm-chair, again , try a neutral colour and get a purple/pink/orange cushion for it. You can also get wildly coloured cushions for your bed.

The music you are into also dictates your bed-choice. Hard Rockers tend to favour Grande funrniture - poster beds with intricate designs. But, because you are still young and developing your personality, you can opt for a classic style without compromising. A bed is for keeps (they last longer than many marriages!)
