Getting my site noticed?

I just started a website through Yahoo, it's not up and going yet, but when I'm ready how will I beable to get my site noticed? What exactly do I need to do?

Once you are started, register your business with Google's Local Business Center   google.com/local/add.   If you enter the details like your address and phone number, you will show up at the top of the Google search page. /

One great way to get your site noticed is through article marketing.  You write articles about your topic and include a link back to your site.  Posting on forums and making blog comments about your topic are also good ideas.  

Basically, the way to do it is to make as many links as possible, but you have to do it well and not spam the link everywhere.

First, you need to create some content.

Once that's done :

1. Register with Google and other search engines

2. Post on forums and social networking sites about your page

3. Get inbound links from other websites on the same topic

4. Send -emails to friends on yahhoo who you think would be interested

If you're not sure how to do these, go to google and type: "how to ..." and what you want to do.
