  1. When my cousin had hers pierced she said that she could only really eat things like pudding and yogurt and soup for a while because her tongue was so swollen.

As for cleaning/maintenance, she just used mouthwash. It will kill the bacteria in your mouth.

**I'm sure that the person who pierces you will tell you everything you need to know for the after-care and healing process.

  2. I just got a venom set which is the two one on left and other on right and I thought that I would be ok with like frozen drinks but a lot of them burned the piercing a lot I guess the acid in the fruit flavoring but I had an easy time with mashed potatoes and just straight soups- not too hot and plain ice cream. They do say that dairy isn't good for them because it holds a lot of bacteria but if your positive your cleaning the correct way that shouldn't be an issue and good luck!

  3. no it WILL heal unlike people will tell you. you can't really eat alot... but i took mine out when i ate haha even tho i wasnt supposed to and just put it back in when i was done and i was fine. but it will get huge! so for the swelling eat popsicle and ice. keep it clean obviously and use one of the metal ones with the plastic balls on it becuase if you use plastic it WONT heal & it will become very irritated. and if you wear the metal balls it will erode the back of your teeth quicker.

    i love mineee (:

  4. After you get your piercing they should tell you all of this stuff but I honestly wanted to know as well.  Make sure you buy some H2 ocean.  That stuff is a life saver.  DO NOT rinse with Listerine unless you dilute it 50 percent with water.  Stay away from dairy, smoking, and alcohol.  All those things can cause bacteria to grow.  If you suck on ice cubs make sure they are some from home, and keep your hands VERY clean when handling it.  Anytime you eat or drink anything other than water, make sure to spray H2 ocean (Or the cleaner they provide you) in your mouth and swish it around really good.  About 30 seconds is good.  That's really about it, just remember to keep it clean and eat lots of soup the first few days!

  5. when I got mines it hurt so  much for a week I really didnt eat anything because I was in so much pain my tongue was double the size but after the week I ate anything but stayed away from spicy foods and to clean it i used mouth wash after brushing and after i ate

  6. Please do not do this.  What are you gaining by doing it?  Proving something to someone?  It will not be worth the effort.
