  1. I had all four of mine taken out at once too...not a big deal. Don't be scared! You don't feel a thing at all, you are either numbed for the pain or put under completely. I was put under. Didn't feel a thing. just slept a lot afterwards.

  2. Ok dude here's how it goes. I just got mine pull out. It really is no big thing. You will go to the oral surgeon, be4 operation all he (or she) will do is give you like a shot or needle poke on your arm. They will rub something in that spot, then you will be sleeping through the whole thing, and feel nothing at all!!! your parents, who ever go with you will wake you up. And let me tell you, you will be really wasted, you will feel and look like a drunk. (enjoy it while it lasts tee hee).

So there ya have it..no big deal, the worst part is the aftercare, ill explain. The doctor will prescribe three pills, Penicillan (an antibiotic drug that will protect you from infection), A special kind of Motrion/Tylenol (for pain), And Vicagin (Extreme pain killer). You will pick up these pills, but prolly ur folks cuz u will be wasted lol, you will prolly come home go to sleep. and not remember a thing. You will then be in pain =(. But it nothing unbearable. Really, I just took the motrion drug and i was fine, didnt even need the extreme pain killer.

The things that really sucks is ur mouth will be sore for a good 3-8 days, (depends on how u deal with pain) but it will slowly get better each day. You will prolly not be able to eat stuff like burgers and pizza for a few days. To be honest thats the biggest torture right there, man. Nothing more!! You will want to buy some soft/swallowing foods. Like Mac and cheese, jello/puddings, whtever.

Then in a couple weeks, you will go back do a follow up to make sure everythings ok, and thats it nothing to it really.

Dont worry, you will be fine!! =)

  3. my friend just had hers taken out... it's no biggie. the doctors know what they're doing, and they'll tell you everything you need to know.

  4. its not that bad,  you are sedated for the whole procedure and will wake up with no pain at all.  people always seem to have a horror story about this minor procedure, when in reality it is only a minor inconvenience for two or three days

  5. Haha, what's ironic is that my younger sister is getting hers out tomorrow morning. She was worried like you are too, and I told her the same thing I'm telling you :D

Alright, first off, it's not NEARLY as bad as people make it out to be, I promise. You're asleep the entire time and the recovery is simple and virtually painless. The only negative thing I remember about the entire experience of getting mine out was that for the rest of the day after the surgery I was out of it because of the anesthesia and medication I was given. I recommend renting a crapload of movies because that's about all you'll want to do for a day or two, and it'll keep you from getting too bored.

But seriously, breathe. It's a very simple procedure, you won't feel a thing, and you get to have a couple of days to be a complete bum :]. You can do it!~

  6. It's no biggie....just relax and let the dentist do their job.  You won't feel a thing.

  7. Me too!! I am also 16 and on the 5th I have to get all four pulled out. My oral surgeon freaked me out more than I was before. (Telling me that he needs to use a drill but my orthodontist said that the surgery wouldn't be a big deal. Now I am thinking about getting a second opinion from a different oral surgeon. I am also scared so I have no idea what to do. Good Luck!!

  8. I was just like you (15, scared to the point of not sleeping about getting my 4 wisdom teeth removed at once). Ask if you can be given valium or a sedative like it before you go in, and it will relax you to the point where you won't even worry about the procedure. Or they might give you some laughing gas before they put in the IV. With the IV in, you'll fall asleep in about 10 seconds. Once you're out, it's not a big deal, you'll just wake up some time later with little pain (the medication probably won't have worn off yet) and some gauze in your mouth. You'll eat soft foods, drink liquids, take the painkillers and antibiotics you're prescribed, and feel completely normal in a week or so!

  9. take a vallum before u go to tha denist

  10. the worst part is hearing the cracking when they come out.

your mouth is numb you won't feel a thing, but check with your

dentist and see if he/she will let you wear your i-pod. it will relax you and make the time go real quick.

good luck and don't worry about it. it will be over before you know it.

  11. Just relax.. your dentist has done this so many times before so you're not going to get hurt or anything. I don't even think that getting the wisdom teeth out themselves hurt, just afterward because they should numb your mouth.

Don't worry about it. Your jaw will be swollen so at least you get to get a chance to take it easy afterward.
