Getting off a penalty notice for drinking a beer on a Manly Ferry?

The kind officer spelt my surname incorrectly on a penalty notice received for drinking a beer on a Manly ferry, so $300 later I would like to know if the incorrect spelling can be used in anyway to get out of the fine. Help Please!
